DYXM booth was busy with visitors from around the world. Buyers browsed our denim samples, checked fabrics by hand, and talked through ideas with our team.

For denim, seeing the product in person makes a real difference. Photos and spec sheets help, but fabric feel, wash effects, garment construction, and finishing only become clear when you hold the sample.

What Buyers Were Looking At

Across the fair, the same questions kept coming up:

  • Fabric: weight, hand-feel, stretch and recovery, rigid vs. stretch denim
  • Wash and finish: light, mid, and dark washes, vintage effects, whiskering, and distressing
  • Construction: stitching, pocket details, seams, hardware, and overall garment quality
  • Fit and styling: straight, wide-leg, slim, and relaxed fits, plus denim jackets and other styles

From Display Samples to Your Own Denim Collection

A display sample is often just the starting point. Many visitors came with a specific direction in mind: a different wash, an adjusted fit, a new fabric, or their own branding. Meeting in person lets us talk through these ideas right away and see what is realistic for production.

Face-to-face conversations help turn sample ideas into product plans.

Whether you are developing custom jeans, denim jackets, or a private label line, these discussions give both sides a clearer picture before sampling begins.

Key Details to Define Before Sampling

To make the sampling stage faster and more accurate, it helps to have the following ready:

  1. Style and fit: a tech pack, sketch, or reference photos
  2. Fabric: weight, composition, and stretch requirements
  3. Wash and finishing: a reference sample or color target
  4. Trims and hardware: buttons, rivets, zippers, and labels
  5. Branding: private label, woven labels, hangtags, and packaging
  6. Order plan: estimated quantity per style and color
  7. Timeline: target delivery date

You do not need everything finalized. Even a rough brief and a few reference images are enough to begin.
